L\u2019Union africaine a officiellement lanc\u00e9, le 7 octobre 2026 \u00e0 Maurice, l\u2019Africa Credit Rating Agency (AfCRA)<\/strong>, une nouvelle institution destin\u00e9e \u00e0 \u00e9valuer la solvabilit\u00e9 des \u00c9tats et des entreprises africains. L\u2019initiative vise notamment \u00e0 proposer une analyse du risque qui tienne davantage compte des r\u00e9alit\u00e9s \u00e9conomiques du continent, alors que les conditions d\u2019acc\u00e8s aux financements d\u00e9pendent largement des \u00e9valuations produites par les grandes agences internationales. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selon ses promoteurs, cette approche pourrait contribuer \u00e0 une meilleure perception du risque africain et, \u00e0 terme, faciliter la mobilisation de capitaux en faveur des \u00e9conomies du continent. Sur les 55 pays africains, seuls 32 seraient actuellement couverts par les trois principales agences internationales, laissant une partie importante du continent sans notation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Install\u00e9e \u00e0 Maurice, l\u2019AfCRA devra toutefois convaincre les march\u00e9s de la fiabilit\u00e9 de ses \u00e9valuations. Son principal d\u00e9fi r\u00e9side dans son ind\u00e9pendance<\/strong>, pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e comme une condition essentielle de sa cr\u00e9dibilit\u00e9. Aucun gouvernement africain ne doit d\u00e9tenir de participation dans son capital ; au d\u00e9marrage, les actions sont d\u00e9tenues par la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 sud-africaine Plus 94 Research, avec l\u2019objectif d\u2019ouvrir ult\u00e9rieurement le capital \u00e0 des investisseurs agr\u00e9\u00e9s. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pour ses responsables, cette architecture doit permettre \u00e0 l\u2019agence de fonctionner \u00e0 distance des int\u00e9r\u00eats politiques. Reste d\u00e9sormais \u00e0 d\u00e9montrer, par la qualit\u00e9 et la transparence de ses premi\u00e8res notations, qu\u2019une lecture africaine du risque peut gagner la confiance des investisseurs et peser davantage dans les d\u00e9cisions de financement du continent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
